An iterator is any object that, pointing to some element in a range of elements (such as an array or a container), has the ability to iterate through the elements of that range using a set of operators (with at least the increment (++) and dereference (*) operators).

(1) istream& getline (istream& is, string& str, char delim); istream& getline (istream&& is, string& str, char delim); (2) istream& getline (istream& is, string& str); istream& getline (istream&& is, string& str); Get line from stream into string Extracts characters from is and stores them into str until the delimitation character delim is found (or the newline character, '\n', for (2)).
