ft_printf

This is a unit test library and configurable tester for the 42 project ft_printf. It is designed to be a regression testing utility--that is, it is meant to be used while you are developing. It lets you select specific tests and test groups to run, enable and disable entire blocks of tests at once, or even select tests based on previous run/pass/fail history.

This is an edit of ft_printf tester PFT made by Gavin Fielder to fit with 2019 rules. This PFT only includes the 745 test combinations of the basic flags (%cspdiuxX% -0.*). Tests were added to cover stars and null pointers. Your printf doesn't need to pass all the tests, some cover undefined behaviour (but it's better if it does).

If you want to be a good developer, please make your own tests. You should only use testers when you're correcting someone or just before submitting your work to see what tests you haven't thought of doing. If you finish a project without testing it yourself, you've only done a quarter of it.

int64_t는 보통 아래처럼 정의되어 있다. uint64_t는 여기에 unsigned 만 붙었다. long int를 printf로 출력하기 위한 서식문자는 %ld이고, long long int를 printf로 출력하기 위한 서식문자는 %lld 이다. 그래서 환경이 32비트일 때랑 64비트일 때량 써야 하는 서식문자가 다르다. 사람들은 보통 두 가지 방법을 쓰는 것 같다. j 서식문자는 intmax_t와 대응한다.

키워드와 구조체 이름을 사용하여 구조체 포인터를 선언합니다. 이때 일반 변수가 아닌 포인터 변수이므로 반드시 *을 붙입니다. 그리고 함수로 메모리를 할당할 때 크기를 알아야 하므로 sizeof(struct Person) 과 같이 구조체 크기를 구하여 넣어줍니다. 화살표 사용 주의할 점은 구조체 포인터의 멤버에 접근할 때는 (화살표 연산자)를 사용해야 한다는 것입니다.

wchar_t는 와이드 문자(wide character)를 저장하기 위한 자료형입니다. 보통 영문 알파벳은 1바이트로 표현하지만 유니코드는 2바이트 이상으로 표현하기 때문에 wchar_t에 저장해야 합니다. Visual Studio에서는 wchar_t를 unsigned short로 정의하고 있고, GCC에서는 4바이트로 정의하고 있습니다. 단, GCC에서 -fshort-wchar 옵션을 사용하면 wchar_t를 2바이트로 사용할 수 있습니다. wchar_t 문자와 문자열은 다음과 같이 따옴표 앞에 L을 붙여서 표현합니다.

I'm working on a small piece of code that prints characters to the screen, and must support all of Unicode contained in a wchar_t, and i'm limited to only write(2). ft_printf 과제를 진행하려면 이 전 과제로 만든 libft 정적 라이브러리를 사용해야한다. 어떻게 ft_printf 소스파일과 libft.a 라이브러리 파일을 함께 컴파일할 수 있는지 정리해보았다. 일반적으로 실행 파일을 만들 때는 소스 코드를 컴파일 하고 만들어진 obj 파일을 링커가 하나로 묶어 .out (윈도우는 .exe) 파일을 만든다. 정적 라이브러리를 사용하려면 링크 단계에서 링커가 .a파일도 같이 묶어서 하나의 .out 파일을 만들어야 한다.

printf에는 16진수를 출력하는 서식지정자x,X가 있다.(x는 출력시 소문자, X는 대문자)이를 똑같이 처리하기 위해 itoh라는 함수를 따로 작성해야했다.잘 나오고 있다

type %,c,s는 처리가 그렇게 어렵지 않아, 넘어가도록 한다. p옵션은 들어온 포인터 변수의 주소를 16진수로 변환시켜 보여주는 타입이다. 이를 처리하기 위해 매개변수로 받은 가변인자를 long long자료형으로 변환시켜 사용한다. 사실상 방법은 그렇게 어렵지 않다. 기존에 정수형 10진수를 16진수로 변형시키는 x옵션이 있는데, 자료형만 바꿔 그 똑같이 문자열을 처리해주면 된다.

This project was completed in december 2018 as part of the 42 school cursus. The aim was to compile a library containing the functions from our libft and our own version of the printf function. The full instuctions can be found in the resources folder.
